Our Story

Tableside represents over 30 years of proven expertise in building mission-critical POS infrastructure. Our journey began in 1999 when we engineered enterprise-scale systems for 250+ locations on UNIX, establishing a new standard for reliability in restaurant technology.

We led the industry's shift to Windows-based touch interaction, defining the template for the modern user experience that restaurants rely on today. We've deployed sophisticated meal tracking and ordering networks across 150 healthcare facilities, handling massive complexity and scale that taught us the importance of robust, flexible systems.

After co-founding the precursor to Nimble and successfully exiting, we recognized that the industry needed something more: a fully composable, cloud-native vision built specifically for independent restaurants. We saw the limitations of legacy systems—the slow hardware, confusing interfaces, hidden fees, and support that couldn't understand the unique pressures of running a restaurant.

So we built Tableside from the ground up, combining our decades of enterprise-scale engineering experience with an unwavering focus on what independent restaurants actually need: modern cloud technology, intuitive design, transparent pricing, and support from people who understand your business.
